COUNTY, STATE, FEDERAL ELECTIONS

Alabama Voting Registration Deadlines end 10 days before Election. You may register to vote by Absentee Ballot.  Identification is required for voters.

You may download the State of Alabama Postcard Voter Registration from the Secretary of State website. The form can be printed on your printer, filled out, and then mailed into your local voter registration officials.  Please Click HERE  (http://www.sos.state.al.us/elections/GetRegForm.aspx)

Voter registration is also available from your local County Board of Registrars.

CITY ELECTIONS

City elections take place every 4 years on even years.  Our next election will be held in 2025.
You are automatically registered to vote in city elections when your Voter Registration Form is filled out correctly.

Municipal General Election - August 2025
Municipal Run-Off Election (if necessary) - October 2025



ABSENTEE VOTING

Absentee voting applications for the municipal election are available at Butler City Hall, 222 S. Mulberry Avenue or you can download an application from the Alabama Secretary of State website at https://www.sos.alabama.gov/alabama-votes/voter/absentee-voting. Absentee voting applications can be mailed to Post Office Box 455, Butler, AL 36904 along with a copy of the voters drivers license or photo ID. Absentee coting applications can also be returned by the voter to 222 S. Mulberry Avenue, Butler, AL 36904.
